La cifra impar is the academic publication, in electronic format, of the Universidad del Cine. It publishes original and unpublished research articles on cinema and audiovisual arts, both national and international, in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, in an Open Access format, once a year. All articles undergo double-blind peer review.

La cifra impar aims to contribute to the debates and thoughts regarding cinema and audiovisual arts, through the publication and dissemination of contributions from researchers, specialists and professionals in the area, who contribute to the analysis and knowledge of the various audiovisual productions of the region and the world.

Papers are accepted for the different sections of the magazine: research articles, reviews, translations, interviews, etc. The magazine reserves the right to accept or reject contributions received. 

The magazine does not charge fees of any kind for the presentation of works, nor for the subscription to the magazine. 

The contents are published under Creative Commons License, Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike (by-nc-sa), which can be consulted at http://www.creativehttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/commons.org.ar/. 

The authors retain the intellectual property of their work, but the right to the first publication goes to the magazine La cifra impar. 

The magazine provides DOI (Digital Object Identifier) ​​to each of its publications.

 

DIGITAL PRESERVATION

The articles published in La cifra impar. Revista de estudios de audiovisuales are stored in a permanent and secure archive on the OJS platform through the PKP PN network, which allows the content of the journal to be preserved regardless of where it is hosted. It leverages the distributed preservation network model employed by a private LOCKSS Network supported by the organizational commitment of PKP partners and sponsors who are also members of the LOCKSS alliance.
